Cherokee Bluff’s resounding 7-0 victory over North Hall on Tuesday at Yonah Field put them in a tie for second place in Region 8-4A.
The Lady Bears (8-3, 5-0 Region 8-4A) have now won five straight games and are level with Walnut Grove (7-3, 5-0 Region 8-4A). On Thursday, when they go to play the Lady Warriors, they will have an opportunity to move up to second place on their own.
Leading the attack, Kaitlin Cook scored a hat trick while wearing a knee brace due to an injury. For the Lady Bears, Carson DeMars and Eva Martin each scored one goal, while Bristol Kersh added two more.
For Cherokee Bluff, Keersh contributed two assists and Martin one.
