The children were extremely excited to receive their new boots – as chaos erupted when they were shown their surprises in the boxes.
Soccer In The Streets “reaches out to teens who are on the margins of society – racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants and refugees – attending low-performing public schools, from low-income and broken homes, in high-crime areas, with high unemployment, (communities without many job prospects except low paying service jobs) facing “healthy food deserts” and experiencing minimal quality of life”.
