ATLANTA, GEORGIA–The visiting Georgia State University Panthers men’s soccer team has extended their winning streak to two with a 2-0 win over the home team Davidson in North Carolina on Tuesday night.
Sophomore Simon Carlson and freshman Ethan Sassine scored the two winning goals for the team.
Junior goalkeeper Gunther Rankenburg recorded his third clean sheet of the year facing nine Davidson shots, including two shots on goal.
With their win, the Panthers improved to 5-2 in the ongoing Sunbelt conference.
Davidson for its part dropped to 4-3.
The Panthers hope to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the dangerous Wofford on Saturday at 7 p.m., at the new GSU Soccer Complex.
