On Tuesday night, June 23, the Chattanooga FC women’s squad made the trek down to Decatur High School for a crucial Southeast Conference showdown under the lights. Hoping to bounce back from their recent home drop against Nashville, CFC unfortunately ran into an absolute buzzsaw. A dominant first half from Decatur FC proved too steep a mountain to climb, leaving Chattanooga with a tough 4-1 defeat on the road.

First-Half Blitz Puts CFC on the Back Foot

Decatur FC wasted absolutely no time asserting their authority on their home turf. Executing a highly tactical, high-pressing game plan, the hosts hit Chattanooga with three unanswered tallies before the referee even blew the whistle for halftime:
