Emory University is buzzing with pride as one of their own, Jake Atallah, has been named to the Academic All-America Third Team by the College Sports Communicators. This local legend, a graduate student and star midfielder for the Eagles, has once again raised the bar for student-athletes in the Peach State.
Atallah joins an elite group of 13 Emory men’s soccer players who have earned this prestigious honor. He’s the first Eagle to be recognized this season and the 228th overall in Emory Athletics history.
To qualify for this accolade, student-athletes must maintain a stellar GPA of 3.5 or higher and have significant playing time. Atallah, a true scholar-athlete, has certainly met these high standards.
In his final season with the Blue & Gold, Atallah led the Eagles to another UAA championship and a spot in the NCAA tournament. His impressive defensive skills and leadership on the field were instrumental in their success.
