Atlanta United fans have another reason to celebrate — Luke Brennan, the club’s Homegrown winger from the 404, has officially been named to the United States U-20 National Team roster for the 2025 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Just last week, Brennan told reporters he believed he had done enough to earn his spot. Today, he’s living proof of speaking it into existence.
“I think I’ve proven myself,” Brennan said then. Now, with his name on the roster, the Atlanta star added Friday:
“It means a lot. At the beginning of the season, I was hoping to be on this and looking forward to it. Now, I know the goals I have for it, so I’m not satisfied, and I’m ready.”
Group E Awaits: Brennan and Cobb Represent the 5-Stripes
The U.S. U-20s kick off their tournament in Group E, facing New Caledonia, France, and South Africa. Brennan won’t be the only Atlanta United connection on the roster. Defender Noah Cobb, currently on loan with Colorado Rapids, was also named after logging 13 U-20 appearances, including the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
