Get voting, Atlanta!
Online voting has officially opened for the 2018 MLS All-Star Game Fan XI presented by Target. Voting through the free MLS app has been underway for weeks, but now you can vote online on any desktop or mobile device from now until June 20th. Eight Atlanta United players are on this year’s ballot: goalkeeper Brad Guzan; defenders Michael Parkhurst and Leandro González Pirez; midfielders Miguel Almirón, Ezequiel Barco, Julian Gressel and Darlington Nagbe; and forward Josef Martinez. The MLS All-Stars will be coached by Tata Martino.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target on August 1, as the MLS All-Stars take on seven-time defending Italian champions Juventus. The summer showcase will air at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, UniMás, TSN and TVA Sports domestically as well as across 170 countries globally.
In addition to the match, MLS will host nearly a week of events surrounding the game, including concerts, community service initiatives, player appearances, as well as an additional showcase match featuring the best young players from across the league. To create the fan ballot, media members nominated a total of 184 players – eight from each MLS team. Ten players – one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and two forwards – with the highest combined votes will be named to the 2018 MLS All-Star Game Fan XI presented by Target.
