ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The Manchester United remains confident they can re-sign star striker Paul Pogba to a new deal this summer.
Manchester is convinced the 28-year-old will remain with the team despite the earlier claim of Pogba’s agent that the Frech soccer star will not anymore play with the team.
To ensure that they can retain the services of Pogba, Manchester is now exerting efforts to talk to their star for a possible contract extension.
Sources said Manchester is desperate to re-sign Pogba since the latter is et to enter the final year of his deal and will be able to negotiate with clubs outside the Premier League from January before a possible free transfer move in time
for the 2022-23 season.
Some of the teams reportedly interested in sig Pogba are Real Madrid, FCBarcelona, and Juventus.
The World Cup winner is playing superbly as of late for his team.
If by chance, Manchester could not re-sign Pogba, they face the prospect of losing their £89.3 million record signing for nothing.
