ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Atlanta United FC defensive specialist Miles Robinson scored a goal in the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) men’s soccer team’s 6-1 win against Martinique in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup on July 15 at the Children’s Mercy Park Kansas City.
Robinson scored a header in the second win of the US, who earlier beat Haiti 1-0 on July 11 at the same venue.
With their latest, win the US who is in Group B is set to face rival Canada on Sunday to see which nation takes top honors and earns a No. 1 seed in the quarterfinals.
Aside from Robinson, two other United FC players are also part of this year’s USMNT roster for the Gold Cup.
Veteran goalkeeper Brad Guzan and George Bello are also part of USMNT that will compete in the Gold Cup from July 10-August 1.
Guzan, 36 is tagged as one of the most senior members of the team.
The veteran United goalkeeper has 64 international appearances, became Tim Howard’s backup at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, and started at the 2016 Copa America.
The last time he played for the US was in the 2019 exhibition game against Uruguay.
