ATLANTA, GEORGIA –The coaching debut of Gonzalo Pineda did not end well as planned as the home team Atlanta United FC suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of the visiting Nashville SC on Saturday afternoon at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The loss is painful for United FC since their four-game losing streak has also ended.
Coming into the game, the United FC is feeling confident with their winning streak and a new coach.
However, Nashville SC spoiled the planned victory party for Pineda after the team scored two goals from Daniel Rios and Randall Leal.
With their defeat, United FC is once again back on the drawing board to plot its strategy to get back to its winning ways.
United FC (6-7-9, 27 points) hopes to regain its winning momentum when they host the Orlando City SC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday evening (7:00 p.m., FS1, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor).
