MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — The No. 13 Georgia College Bobcats (6-1-1, 1-1-1 PBC) displayed an offensive masterclass on Saturday, dismantling Georgia Southwestern University 5-0 in a Peach Belt Conference (PBC) showdown at Bobcat Field.
First-Half Momentum
The Bobcats struck first in the 23rd minute when All-American forward Amanda Bartholomew (Peachtree City) netted her fourth goal of the season. Bartholomew continued to be a pivotal force, assisting Anya Mancinelli (Atlanta) for a well-placed shot into the bottom left corner, giving Georgia College a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Bobcat defense was impenetrable, allowing just one shot on goal during the opening half.
Second-Half Onslaught
The Bobcats ramped up the pressure in the second half, firing an astonishing 18 shots at Hurricanes’ goalkeeper Hannah Monroe, who made 12 saves in an admirable defensive effort.
The breakthrough came in the 80th minute, with Bartholomew scoring her second goal of the match—her team-leading fifth goal of the season—off an assist from Mancinelli.
Georgia College senior Sofia Lekas (Lizella) added her fourth goal of the season, working in tandem with defenders Unnbjorg Omarsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) and Kai Jeffries (Lawrenceville) to extend the lead to 4-0.
Mancinelli capped off the day in spectacular fashion with an unassisted goal in the 89th minute, completing her performance with two goals and one assist.
Defensive Mastery
The shutout marked Georgia College’s sixth clean sheet in eight matches, a testament to their stellar defensive form.

The Bobcats will aim to continue their momentum on Wednesday, Sept. 26, when they travel to face Francis Marion University. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
