Georgia State’s women’s soccer team fought hard in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Presbyterian on Sunday at Martin Stadium. Taylor Vance and Aaliyah Faddoul continued their stellar form, each netting their second goals of the season in an intense back-and-forth battle.
Presbyterian struck first with a 15th-minute goal from Lina-Marie Muller. However, the Panthers quickly found their rhythm, with Taylor Vance leveling the match in the 29th minute after a slick assist from Aaliyah Faddoul.
Just two minutes later, Faddoul turned scorer, firing in her second goal of the season to put Georgia State ahead 2-1. The Panthers’ lead held until Presbyterian’s Sarah Dieffenderfer netted the equalizer in the 49th minute, making it 2-2. Despite both teams pressing for a winner, neither could break through, and the game ended in a hard-fought draw.
