ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Looks like Paris Saint-Germain is playing hardball as far as releasing French soccer star Kylian Mbappe is concerned.
Sources said PSG has rejected the €160 million ($188m) offer of La Liga team Real Madrid for Mbappe.
The Sources added that PSG is only keen to release Mbappe if Real Madrid will reportedly increase its offer to €200m ($235m).
According to reports, Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires next summer, and the 22-year-old has made it clear that, despite repeated approaches from the club, he does not intend to renew.
It earlier reported that Real Madrid made the move to acquire Mbappe after the latter rejected the five-year deal, with the option of a sixth offer of PSG.
Mbappe turned down the contract extension offer of PSG on Monday.
Aside from Real Madrid, Man United is also interested in signing Mbappe.
