hyndman 1

ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The return from injury of Atlanta United midfielder Emerson Hyndman is just short-lived. Hyndman will be out for four to six weeks after he suffered a right quadriceps injury in training. Injury is the main problem bugging United this year in the Major League Soccer season.

Veteran goalkeeper Brad Guzan and prized degender Miles Robinson are already out for the team due to injuries as well.
On July 3, United barely avoided a three straight defeat on the road after they eked out a 2-2 draw against the home team and defending MLS champion New York City FC at the Yankee Stadium.

United FC veteran strikers Venezuelan Josef Martinez and Dom Dwyer provided the two goals for the team in the draw. The visiting United are very focused on the game as head coach Gonzalo Pineda inserted his top stars Josef Martínez, Luiz Araújo, and Thiago Almada into the starting lineup. The decision to allow the three stars to play together worked wonders as the team played well in the first half.

However, despite their brilliance, the home team was still able to score two goals, which resulted in the draw. After a lackluster performance on the road, United hopes to get back on its feet when they host the red-hot Austin FC at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 9.
