While Atlanta United enjoys a brief respite from MLS action, the training ground in Marietta is anything but quiet. Six of our own have packed their boots to represent their nations during this high-stakes March FIFA window. From World Cup tune-ups to youth tournaments in Europe and Asia, the 5-Stripes are being felt across the globe.

The Senior Stage: World Cup Auditions
Miguel Almirón & Matías Galarza (Paraguay)
The Paraguayan duo is in high spirits as La Albirroja prepares for their first World Cup appearance since 2010.
- The Mission: A European tour featuring friendlies against Greece (March 27) and Morocco (March 31).
- Key Stat: Almirón remains the heartbeat of his nation with 73 caps, while Galarza has become a clinical postseason threat, netting two crucial goals during the qualifying cycle.
Adyn Torres (Puerto Rico)
The young defender is looking to make history of his own. Torres has been called up for a FIFA Series clash against Guam on March 25. Having previously spent time in the U.S. youth system, Torres is now hunting for his first senior cap with Puerto Rico.
The Youth Pipeline: Global Tournaments
Cooper Sanchez (USA U-18)
Fresh off his historic run of starts for Atlanta, the 17-year-old midfielder is in Lisbon for the Torneio Internacional de Lisboa.
- The Schedule: The U.S. faces Iceland (March 26), Morocco (March 28), and a massive finale against hosts Portugal (March 31).
Luke Brennan (USA U-21)
Brennan has traveled the furthest, joining the U-21 camp in South Korea. After a strong showing at the 2025 U-20 World Cup, he’ll look to add to his international tally in matches against Japan (March 27) and South Korea (March 31).
Santiago Pita (Venezuela U-20)
The versatile midfielder is back in South America for a specialized training camp in Porlamar. Pita has already opened his scoring account for the Vinotinto U-20s and continues to be a dual-national talent to watch.
