Chicago Fire FC II has officially announced a sudden venue change for their highly anticipated home match against Inter Miami CF II scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, June 14.
Instead of kicking off at their usual suburban home ground of SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, the Fire are shifting the match right into the heart of the city, taking over UIC Flames Field on the campus of the University of Illinois-Chicago.

For the traveling Miami contingent and local Chicago supporters, the venue shift is actually a major upgrade in atmosphere. Located right off Roosevelt Road, the newly renovated UIC Flames Field features a state-of-the-art natural grass surface and a tight, intimate 1,200-seat grandstand that brings the fans right to the touchline.
This isn’t the Fire’s first rodeo at the campus facility, either. The club previously utilized the pitch last May to dismantle Orlando City B 5-1. The venue also holds massive historic weight for soccer purists, having served as an elite training ground for the MLS All-Star Team as well as the senior national teams of the United States, Mexico, and Argentina.
For fans in the Chicagoland area looking for an alternative to the World Cup watch parties, Chicago Fire II confirmed that match entry will be completely free of charge, with gates opening at 2:00 PM CT ahead of the 3:00 PM CT (4:00 PM ET) kickoff.
The Southeast Division Ripple Effect
