ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Two of the top defensive specialists of Atlanta United FC are tapped to play in the 2021 Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star Game on August 25 at 9 p.m. ET at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
Miles Robison and George Bello are among the 28 MLS players selected to play in the All-Star game featuring the top players of MLS this season.
The selection came after Robinson and Bello have made it to the United States Men’s Soccer Team (USMNT) that won the 2021 Gold Cup championship.
Robinson scored a header in the 117th minute on a free kick to give USMNT the victory and the Gold Cup crown.
Robinson who also scored a header in the early wins of the USMNT in the Gold Cup tournament is very happy with his winning header.
The 2021 Gold Cup is the seventh crown of USMNT in the tournament.
Aside from the two, veteran goalkeeper Brad Guzan is also part of the USMNT Gold Cup team this year.
Guzan, 36 is tagged as one of the most senior members of the team.
The veteran United goalkeeper has 64 international appearances, became Tim Howard’s backup at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, and started at the 2016 Copa America.
The last time he played for the US was in the 2019 exhibition game against Uruguay.
