The Georgia Southern Eagles are flying high, not just on the pitch but in the classroom, too! Six standout student-athletes from the men’s soccer team have been named to the prestigious 2024 Academic All-District Team, showcasing their dedication to excellence both in academics and in the game.
Here’s the lineup of Eagles who aced it this season:
- Alistair Danjon (Graduate, Defender): A rock on defense with a 3.71 GPA in Pro Communication & Leadership.
- Ryan Holmes (Sophomore, Forward): The playmaker turned scholar with a perfect 4.00 GPA in Fashion Merchandise and Apparel.
- Nate Martinez (Junior, Goalkeeper): A shot-stopper excelling with a 3.55 GPA in Management.
- Toby Nevile (Sophomore, Defender): A defensive force and Finance whiz boasting a 4.00 GPA.
- A.J. Pama (Sophomore, Defender): A tough-as-nails backliner with a 3.52 GPA in Exercise Science.
- Kevin Pierre (Senior, Midfielder): The veteran maestro on the field and in Sport Management, holding a 3.83 GPA.
For senior midfielder Kevin Pierre, this marks his second consecutive year earning this honor, cementing his place as a true leader in every sense. Meanwhile, sophomore Ryan Holmes has taken his game to the next level—on and off the field—as he advances to the national Academic All-American balloting stage.
