Ten players from Major League Soccer are on Team USA’s 18-man roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, leading the program back to the Summer Games for the first time since 2008.

Three older players may be included on 18-player squads, but only players under 23 may compete in the Olympic men’s soccer competition. Since the competition takes place outside of FIFA’s regular season, clubs are not obligated to release players. Of the eighteen players on the Olympic roster, seventeen have either played in Major League Soccer or grown up in an MLS academy, and fifteen have received caps for the entire US men’s national team.
Furthermore, three of the four alternatives designated by head coach Marko Mitrović are MLS players who can step in for a player in the event of an injury: Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Josh Atencio Jake Davis, Sporting Kansas City’s defender Johan Gomez, Eintracht Braunschweig’s forward John Pulskamp, Sporting Kansas City’s goalkeeper
