ATLANTA, GEORGIA—For scoring the first goal that helped Atlanta United extend its unbeaten streak at home to 13 on May 15, Argentine midfielder Thiago Almada has made it to the Major League Soccer team of the week.

The goal helped United eked out a 2-2 draw against the visiting New England Revolution at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In the game, Almada played for 90-minutes and had an 84.6 percent passing accuracy and three shots on target.

The Argentine midfielder also provided the assist on Luiz Araújo’s goal that equalized the match. United hopes to get back to its winning ways when they visit the dangerous Nashville SC on Saturday, May 21, at GEODIS Park.
