Minnesota United hosted Sporting Kansas City in a tough home match on Sunday afternoon. Here are three things we learned from the 1-1 draw.

Sporting Kansas City would have been hoping for better when they travelled up to face a middling Minnesota United on Sunday afternoon.

Coming off the remarkable win against Atlanta United which catapulted Peter Vermes’ side into the conversation of the MLS elite, another win here could have secured their grip at the top of the West after Los Angeles FC’s loss to Portland Timbers earlier this weekend. However, even after taking an early lead, KC were unable to hold onto the lead and ultimately had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
