ATLANTA, GEORGIA—On July 3, Tristan Tragger once again proved Atlanta United 2 did not make a mistake in signing him to be part of the team. Tragger scored two goals to carry United 2 to a 2-2 draw against the visiting El Paso Locomotive FC at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Earlier, Tragger helped United 2 ends its two-game losing streak by scoring two goals for his team in their 4-3 victory against Charleston Battery 4-3 at the Patriots Point Soccer Complex last June 29. Augustine Williams and Jackson Conway provided the other two goals of the team. The win allowed United 2 to grab three points in the ongoing United Soccer League Championship season.
Earlier, United 2 suffered its second straight defeat after faltering against the home team Oakland Roots SC, at Laney College Football Stadium on June 25. The team (4-12-2, 14 points) hopes to continue its good performance when they host the dangerous Birmingham Legion on Wednesday, July 6 (7:30 p.m., ESPN+) at the Fifth Third Bank stadium.
