Head coach of the U.S. U-19 Women’s Youth National Team, Carrie Kveton, has chosen a roster of 24 players for the squad’s first training camp of the year, which will take place in West Palm Beach, Florida, from April 21–26.
Players eligible for this U-19 WYNT cycle are those born on or after January 1, 2005. Kveton chose 11 players born in 2005 and 13 players born in 2006 for this camp. Every player in the U-19 WYNT player pool is qualified to compete in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will take place in September in Colombia, based on age.
Ten college players and fourteen players from the youth club are on the roster. After winning bronze at the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile, twelve players are back from the U-19 WYNT, which performed admirably against senior national teams from all across North and South America. The USA fielded seven players for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India in 2022.
