The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Awards are in, and history was made across the board. ULM forward Skylar Blaise headlined the list, becoming the first Warhawk ever named Player of the Year, while Georgia State junior striker Aaliyah Faddoul earned All-Sun Belt First Team honors for the third consecutive season—a rare achievement and a major win for Atlanta’s soccer scene.

Georgia State Represented on All-Sun Belt Teams
Aaliyah Faddoul, Georgia State’s dynamic striker from Ontario, earned First Team All-Sun Belt recognition again after a standout junior campaign. She remains a cornerstone of the Panthers’ offense and one of the most consistent performers in the league.
Joining her on the All-Sun Belt list was senior defender Reese Gordon, who landed on the Second Team for her leadership in Georgia State’s backline this season.
Blaise Shines as Sun Belt’s Top Star
ULM’s Skylar Blaise delivered a season for the ages:
- 12 goals (Sun Belt leader)
- 27 points, 4 game-winners
- 23 career goals, now ULM’s all-time leading scorer
- Scored 6 goals in the last 6 matches
She powered unbeaten ULM to its first-ever Sun Belt regular season title, and head coach Will Roberts was named Coach of the Year for the Warhawks’ historic campaign.
Kulha, Giorgio, and Glenn Anchor Defensive Awards
- Ashlynn Kulha (Old Dominion) won Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row, the first player in Sun Belt history to do so.
- Sierra Giorgio (South Alabama) was named Goalkeeper of the Year, ranking among the national leaders in shutouts and save percentage.
- Carson Glenn (Louisiana) took home Freshman of the Year, scoring 18 points in her debut season.
Georgia Soccer Talent on the Rise
From All-Conference veterans like Faddoul and Gordon to emerging Sun Belt stars, Georgia-based programs are gaining more recognition on the national stage. With Georgia State advancing to the quarterfinals, the future remains bright for women’s soccer in the Peach State.

The 2025 Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship continues this week at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama. Georgia State squares off against Old Dominion in the quarterfinals on Monday, Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m. ET. The winner moves on to the semifinals on Wednesday.
