With 67,727 spectators, it was the third-highest soccer attendance ever for that particular day throughout the world’s top leagues. The fact that Atlanta United ascended the list is not surprising, since the 17s are known for consistently supporting their team.
Atlanta United has led Major League Soccer in home attendance figures over the years. The squad became the first in the MLS to achieve five million fans at a home regular-season game last season.
